This Introduction is read by the Author
Our current scientific understanding of our universe goes deeper down the rabbit hole than at any time in human history and has proven more profound than anything we have previously conceived.
As you proceed to the following pages, please remember that most of this story is told from a child's perspective, my perspective at the time, beginning around age four and culminating at around fourteen.
Consequently, I will do my best to remain as sincere as possible to that child's voice and memory and not filter any of these events, what I've deemed here as occurrences, through the lens of what might be the bias of an adult. If I can keep true to this process, it will ultimately be left to the reader to judge whatever validity this journey may be worthy.
Additionally, after some of these OCCURRENCES, I have alluded to theories, concepts, and sometimes scientific discoveries, further fleshed out in Book II, "Hunting Dragons" that may correlate or lend credence to many of these childhood events. I've clearly marked those narratives separately from the preceding story. Admittedly, some may be less than a convincing argument for some readers. Nonetheless, each has led me to a place and time where I have found courage enough, beyond a lifetime of secret wonder, to put pen to paper and convey this strange childhood tale.
Beyond what my best child recollections can provide, I will add additional perspective when I feel it essential for clarification. I will withhold any overarching, more significant conclusions or hypotheses until the last few chapters of Book II. Further analysis beyond this is best left to the reader, the researcher, or the brave scientist who may follow.
I have done my best to communicate these occurrences as chronologically as possible. Considering how young I was and the passage of so many years may have caused me to transpose the order of some of these events. This, however, does not alter the story's substance or the implications of these individual encounters.
Despite what may be perceived as vague similarities to others, now labeled as "experiencers," I believe you will discover unique occurrences without comparable antecedents, especially when taken as a whole and most assuredly in the story's eventual revelation. Ultimately, this may be as genuine a reality as anything within our universe, multiverse, simulation, or whatever we may be experiencing.
Finally, throughout this book, you will notice that the terms UFO and UAP may be used interchangeably. Although both acronyms can technically describe the same sightings, UAP is often employed when discussing the topic from a more scientific and less conjectural standpoint. However, for the majority of instances, I will utilize the term UFO as it encompasses a broader range of phenomena, including encounters, events, and paranormal occurrences.
Now that all my misgivings, conditions, and caveats are firmly in place, let's begin this awkward, often absurd, and sometimes terrifying journey together.
